Welcome!

This Residents Association is a voluntary organisation made up of local residents of the William Sutton Housing Estate. Members of the association attend regular monthly meetings to discuss issues that arise concerning residents.

All residents of the estate are welcome to attend these meetings to discuss any issues they may have or just to say 'hi' and meet your neighbours!

The association also has close links with other organisations to represent tenants and liaise directly with Affinity Sutton Homes.

The meetings occur on the first Wednesday of the month at 7pm.

What can I expect at a resident's meeting?

You can expect to meet a diverse group of old and new residents from the St Quintin Estate. Everyone is friendly and open to hearing your issues. Meetings start with a discussion of the last meeting's minutes and any actions that have been taken.

Members have different roles in the association, such as Chairman, Secretary, Book Keeper etc. You can always contribute as little or as much of your time as you want, just turning up to the meetings is a great way to find out what is going on in your community.

What does the Association do?

Because of the diversity of the group, there are many ideas and activities that are discussed and planned. We raise funds for charity, hold tea/coffee afternoons and many members help to organise Christmas Panto's, children's trips and street parties in the local area.

We also look into issues affecting the residents on the Estate such as raising concerns about repairs with the contractors, or querying rents increases with Affinity Sutton.

We regularly invite the Police, Affinity Sutton and CBS to our meetings so that we can discuss issues ranging from Anti Social Behaviour and parking to general block maintenance.

When and where is the next meeting?

In the Portacabin on Wednesday 5th October.

If you would like to put something on the agenda please let us know at least a week in advance.
